Roraima Airways has over the years developed a track record of employing young ordinary Guyanese, training and evolving them into extraordinary professionals and managers. The company has a 98 percent track record of promoting from within and now employs approximately 200 employees. The dedicated and committed staff is what distinguishes Roraima Airways as a leader in the Private Sector of Guyana.
Roraima Airways was established in November 1992 commencing its operations as a domestic airline doing charters in Guyana, South America, and the Caribbean with particular emphasis on executive clientele. Over the years, the company has expanded its range of services into ten divisions all of them connected with vertical integration and cross fertilizing synergies operating in support of the mining, logging and tourism industries specifically and Guyana’s National Development generally. The co-founders of Roraima Airways are Captain Gerald and Debbie Gouveia both of whom are experienced professional airline transport rated pilots. Captain Debbie Gouveia is a graduate of Flight Safety Academy in Vero Beach Florida. While Captain Gerald Gouveia graduated from the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He continued his education at the George Washington University in Virginia and the National Defense University in DC.
